No, I ain't gonna fight it, His Spirit is taking me there
I cannot doubt, that love is in the air
Surrender my will to the One who's calling my name
They tell me once your heart's there
You'll never be the same

I hear music and laughter just outside of my door
This time it's just a little louder than before
I hear Jesus making promises that I must now claim
They tell me once your heart's there
You'll never be the same

Oh, peace has got it's grip on me, it's drawing me on
I know that in a moment I'll be gone
I'm feeling warm within, it's like being born again
Take me Lord
Take me Lord

With my mind on hope, my heart, my soul on faith
I take the step that time cannot erase
Stepping into the sunshine out of the falling rain
They tell me once your heart's there
You'll never be the same

Oh, peace has got it's grip on me, it's drawing me on
I know that in a moment I'll be gone
I'm feeling warm within, it's like being born again
Take me Lord
Take me Lord

Surrender my soul to the One who's calling my name
They tell me once your heart's there
You'll never be the same
I've found that once your heart's there
You'll never be the same

Song notes: "'Aint Gonna Fight It" is a very early Terry Taylor composition. The earliest recordings, some of which are by Terry solo or by Judge Rainbow and the Prophetic Trumpets, date back to around 1971 or 1972. It was one of the first songs worked on by Jubal's Last Band when they first started to rehearse together and eventually recorded for their 1974 demo tape. The song was played for Love Song in the summer of 1973, which led to Terry meeting Tommy Coomes and developing a relationship with Maranatha! Music. The song is the very first song recorded by Daniel Amos for for the LP Maranatha! 5 in 1975.
