Dark stars are falling from her eyes
Now dust, they're scattered 'cross the table
Where by his open trembling hands
There lies a hammer and a nail
He say's "Do what you've got to do"
Her hand is moving near the handle
She's writing something in the dust
Too dark to see,
He lights a candle
They went off script, threw out their lines
They saw through eyes that once were blind,
Then drank a cup of the divine,
And they turned water into wine
She watched him crawl along the ground,
His wounded skin as dark as ebony
She found the devil's book clutched in
The bleeding hands of her sworn enemy
He begs "Be merciful, be swift,"
So with steady hands and an aim not faltered,
She carries him 'cross the desert floor
To The House of Rest and Healing Waters
They went off script, threw out their lines
They saw through eyes that once were blind,
Then drank a cup of the divine
And they turned water into wine
And they turned water into wine
