I for one am suspending judgement (as much as that's possible) until all the information is available. Pete is majorly screwed up in a lot of ways but he's still a brilliant artist and spokesman for the times.

I agree that Pete is screwed up in the head in many ways; but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on this one. Why? Becasue I would check his website a lot, and in his diaries section he would be ripping on Google, and other companies, for making it easy to access child porn. He was like a spokesman against it. With the recent allegations, he claimed to have used a credit card just once to get into a site; but never actually downloaded it, and that he would just view the sites that were out there but not necessarily go into the sites. My perception was that he was on a crusade against porn; so when I herad the story break, the first thing I thought was, well, sure he's just checking what's out there, so he can tell people what to ban. The excuse that he was doing "research" for a book, seems a little strange through. I do perceive the guy as a pervert, with very loose morals, in general; but I'd be really surprised if he were actually really into kiddy porn. i'll just assume its mostly hype unless something really major is otherwise proved.

BTW, The Who is supposed to be working on a new album to be released later this year, although I'm thinking it may be on hold for the time being with the recent events.
