Band opportunity!
Hey fellas, Corporate Rock Harry here with an announcement for y'all. I've been a rainy day DAMBER for a few years and have taken the good and some of the bad, but one thing I've seen is that we are all musicians to one degree or another. I haven't heard any of your music, but I do know that if you are influenced by TST then you must be...to coin a Terry phrase...Under the Influence.
Get to the Point!!!
Okay. I just took a new job working for the machine. I'm at Dick Clark Communications and we have just launched our 3rd Annual Coca-Cola New Music Award competition. Today is the first day for entries, and although you may have your own preconceptions about Dick and his minions, this is a cool award. It's not about album sales. It's not about the look. It's about getting HEARD!
The top 10 bands get to go to Atlanta(tentative) for a battle of the bands, the top 3 go to NYC to perform in a week long music festival, and the winner gets to perform live on stage at the American Music Awards!
I do encourage all of you who are in a current unsigned band to enter the contest. The odds aren't that bad and the payoff is great!! For all of the details, go to
www.newmusicaward.com Read all of the rules before you enter (you don't want to be disqualified for something stupid).
I am not spamming. I am not getting paid for this post. This is not an official Coca-Cola/dcc/CMJ press release(for my protection, I hope). I just think this contest is something you guys could win and want to let you know about it.
I would love to see a Terry induced band accepting the award!
