  Miracle Faith Telethon of Lurve

I just got the CD of this today. I had an illegal cassette copy but now I have a nice crisp legal CD.

Ahhh.

Love ghost riders. I sing it at work and people look at me saying "But you hate country?" and I say "I'm singing the alt-rock version." Then my workmates tell me with singing like mine I should give up my day job.

I have an idea for Telethon II. The wacky fan letter has only appeared on mp3.com and the cassette of Berry Vest - why not put it on Telethon II?

It has been there for about 2 years. I have been slowly saving up to the point where I could afford the $NZ125 ($US50)

They may have Let's Spin - I think.

yeah, why spend the extra money? Confused

I passed up on OE the first time I saw it. I only had enough money for one CD......so I went with something else. I can't even remember what I bought, that's how good it was. A few years ago I finally got OE on cassette, and last year bought a sealed copy off ebay (I'm not going to say what I spent). Now I don't hesitate, if it's there, I get it.

Ebay is a rip off! any one who buys from ebay is stooopid.

No money goes to the artist, so why even buy it?

  Ebay stupid?

Wait a minute there, Mr. Donna Nietche. If what you said was not tongue-firmly-implanted-in-cheek, I'm going to take exception. If you understand just a little how to play the game you can snap up some incredible deals on items that just simply aren't available anywhere else.

I got a copy of Neverhood game for about $35. (Not even the Neverhood people can get the game now.) I picked up a Wonderama CD for $10. I've picked up Adam Again, Choir, and Tom Howard items for very reasonable prices. And it doesn't just apply to music. Just establish a price in your head you absolutely won't go over, and I guarantee you'll never get taken. You may not get a huge percentage of what you bid on, but that's the price of caution.

Really, I have been very blessed by the things my wife has been able to get from Ebay, all at prices at or below what I was willing to pay.

I AM sorry the band doesn't get dime one from Ebay. It's a good Biblical concept - the worker is worthy of his wages. But believe me, it WON'T reduce my $ commitment to the band. If any when the re-issues come out, I look forward with great anticipation - they are brand new and often have bonus items anyway.

I don't like to pay (and I won't) the huge prices that some CDs (ie DFBB) but an auction does show what people ARE willing to spend (even if it's not me Smile )
so in that sense ebay is very fair. I don't like it, but it's really far from being a rip-off.
