Angry RE: 9/27 - Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Well,
A certain person known as "Slapped Hard" asked me to go, (i think it was for this show...if I remember correctly. Forgive me if it was for a different date.)
But I don't think he can go now, because he is supposed to be practicing with Commander's Band for their Nov 1 event.
Let's just say that he'd better not go if he wants to be prepared!
He'd better be a good boy abd stay home if he knows what's good for him!

Oh yeah, Sorry, I can't go either.

DB
I'll make sure Slappedhard stays home! I can't go either. Besides the other member of our band would really be upset if we went and took you with and left him at home.

My wife & I are going to go and...
I HaVe a couple of extra "tickets" to the show... Cool

Dale, I'd love to go. However, there are now 2 more reasons (read DB and CC) why I can't go. They can be trying at times. Just like the apostle Paul, I praise God for the thorns in the flesh!

  more potty humour....

We were getting a bite to eat with my 2 daughters Saturday Night- and were gonna rent a movie after.
My one daughter suggested "Holes"
( I havent seen it)
we were discussing a few other choices, and she said in her sometimes too loud 12 year old voice..
"But Holes is the one I want," .....
...........more talk......
....".But Holes is the one we should see."

I quietly said
"Buttholes, why would you want to see Buttholes.?"

we all lost it, and had more than a few boothes turn their heads our way.

How funny.

While I was out this weekend at our district Men's Retreat, my kids got "Holes" to add to their collection. I took my oldest to see it at the theater and got a kick out of it. Since I did the BBQ on Thursday and then did the retreat Friday & Saturday, my girls wanted to watch the movie with me between church services Sunday.

Thanks for your story. It added some humor into my day!

  RE: Bret

Mine is over in the 9/25/2003 was Concert, Car Cruise and BBQ thread. Boogie on over there and you can get the review.

Couple of things I was bummed about. Most of those were from not planning correctly.

Didn't get a recording of the show myself. Do have a guy from Kansas that I let plug into the sound board with his digital video cam, so hopefully he can burn the cd for me (as well as a DVD) (also forgot to make note of the set list)

Didn't get to hang with Mike & Terry after the show, but did have fun with them while they were there on site.

Didn't get much sleep the day before thru now, so I am pretty wiped out.

Didn't cover my costs of the concert.

Other than those small things, I had a great time, it was a great show, and the folks that were there got their money's worth and more. Would LOVE to do it again in the future, and now have a better foundation to plan from.

April 4, 1980 - The Amos & Randy Show at Bethel College. This is still one of my all time favorite shows. Even the crude recording of the show I have is still fun to listen to, and, the happen to do "Cinema Girl" that night.
