one of these days I"m gonna have to watch that movie.

I have Tron and Predator to watch at the moment - but more importantly I have a sermon to write for tomorrow night (It's saturday morning here)

Today is the day after Guy Fawkes day. Yesterday we celebrated by letting off fireworks and going to arranged fireworks demonstrations.

We celebrated the putting to death of a Terroist who tried to blow up the British Parliament about 400 years ago.

I wonder if we will be doing similar for Osama in a few hundred years?

That song makes me want to cry without any video! Frown

I missed Tim too. Crying

Posted by audiori on 11-05-2004 at22:52:

Yup, I did too.

I think the DVD will be cool, we are trying to do some nice
things with the footage we have. Some of the video I guess,
is kinda as if you are sitting off to the side as they work on
some track. Maybe doing some certain part over and over as
they work it out, or trying to decide what weird sound to add
in or whatever. From the video we have it appears the guys
put in some pretty long hours on the project. I think it seems
like Terry said he did the vocals in one long night time session?

Theres a few small interviews sprinkled through, and various
other things.

It's not really a "set up" acting type of deal like Spittle And
Phlegm and more like "Let It Be" maybe in that it's just like
the guys doing their work, and you get to evesdrop. There are
a few skit-ish things but not a lot.

As bonus footage we do have some live stuff shot from the
Legends Tour thats pretty good, better than an audience
shot film.

I can't wait! Smile )

We have one entire Legends show, shot multicamera. The audio
mix is not perfect, but it's a pretty nice companion piece since
it's the first time these songs get played live. We think we
would like to have it as bonus material with minimal editing.
One problem though, Tim wasn't on the tour. But we do have
other live footage from other years including the whole band
we could put together for the next project.

Basically we are down to the point where we decide which
scenes the guys don't like or shouldn't be there and if the order
of scenes are the way they should be. Theres a few minor contrast
adjustments and things too.

The way it is right now, theres the rehearsals at Eds, the Green
Room footage section and the live bonus material. There is some
thought to mixing the three parts together, but visually it might
be difficult and for the "making of" sequencing it might not make
sense to do that. But on the otherhand it would spread song
performances and other bits all through the length of the DVD.
That also might make good sense if you had the same song being
played early, in studio and live kinda meshed together. But there
is soooooooo many songs, you don't really have that. The songs in
the rehearsal footage may be entirely different songs from the
green room footage and the live stuff likewise.

These are the kind of things we have to see what the band thinks,
since they have seen it, have an opinion, and can look at it
differently than we do.

I think as it stands now, the session footage maybe 60-90 min?
and the live footage is about 30 min?

Question

Is the live footage from Creation Fest? I think there is a mountain in the background?

If so I saw a bit of that a few years ago and it's awesome! Pleased

Kinda like the othe DA DVD then, eh? Frown

It's from one or the other Creation fests. At the Moment I
forget which one.

We do also have the OneFest footage we shot, but its not
the greatest.

Yeah all the best footage we have tends to have one member
gone. there is some nice Dogs footage someone has but Derri
is not there.

We do have a couple cameras of DA cornerstone 2000 we want
to edit next...it has soundboard and all 4 members, Terry Tim, Ed
and Greg. Quite a few songs. We REALLY, REALLY wish other people
would send us their footage of this show even if its handheld or
short or whatever. We could use anything as edit pieces and whatnot.
We have 2, which is good, but if it just so happens both those
cameras are messed up at the same time or on the same person
for half a song....it would be nice to have something else to work
with.

You could put in a lot of crowd scenes and shots of the band from behind so you can't see if their lips match up! Tongue

Posted by audiori on 11-06-2004 at10:58:

Yeah we can do some of that. It just works out better with
more cameras.
