The Choir is great, but not enough of a draw for me to go! Crying

Now if they end up adding LD, DA, SE, 77s or any combo thereof, I might consider it....

.......probly not since our .baby will be about 6-8 weeks old at the time. Pleased

I believe the Lost Dogs will be there, at the very least.

Posted by bereal on 12-30-2004 at11:32:

I might have to take a trip with an infant...

inside information Cool CooL
I will check the site tomorrow, the last day for additions...
then in the coming months, there are usually a few bands added & a few bands dropped...
I took a few days off before the fourth either way...

Here's another FREE festival some could consider attending:
(well, some venues may charge parking fees, but no tickets required)
8th Annual Woody Guthrie Folk Festival July 13-17, 2005, Okemah, Oklahoma

If both LD and The Choir aren't doing a full set at a halfway reasonable hour (not midnite) then I think I would rather go to the FREE Guthrie folk festival instead of Cornerstone.

Posted by Mountain Fan on 12-30-2004 at14:29:

Actually, MerleFest sounds much more interesting that either Cornerstone or the Guthrie festival and is much closer to home. All the saved travel could be used for tickets.

Only problem is bereal will be about to pop then, if we don't have a newborn. Crying

But we did take our son camping when he was a week old, so there is a remote chance of possibility.

Cool

Especially if Slaid Cleaves is playing. Big Grin

(Jimmy LaFave will do in a pinch, though....)

I guess Cornerstone is mostly for big dog CCM - wannabees. Tongue Big Grin

That's what it evolved into Crying

The Lost Dogs are all well and good, but it's way overdue for a DA concert! Red Face

Posted by bereal on 12-30-2004 at16:42:

I'd love to go since the Dogs and The Choir will be there! But most of those other bands don't appeal to me at all. Roll Eyes

And since Cstone seems to be evolving into a CCM wannabees festival, is it likely that DA will ever have the chance to play there again? I'm shocked they want LD to play this year, and the only reason they invited The Choir is probably for the nostalgia since they were at the first Cstone. hmmmm.....

Posted by dorfsmith on 12-30-2004 at16:46:

DA was at the first C Stone Crying

I was at the first C-Stone but they haven't invited me back.
