Album artwork links 08-16-2018 10:59 Forum: Upcoming Releases

Hey guys,

I like to put my albums into iTunes but noticed the Live in 79 and Wonderous CDs do not have artwork which downloads. I scanned the front covers if anyone is interested.

Agreed! The second CD was like getting a whole new album. Very good.
And thanks to the Audioris for getting the radio show out so quickly! I love that Bandcamp is allowing past hurdles to disappear.
Also, if you haven't downloaded the 1983 concert do it! It's great hearing early versions of a couple of Vox Humana songs.

I had the Alarma radio show on vinyl years ago and saw the photo in the new CD collage. Any chance of the radio show being released perhaps as a digital download?

Also had a 44 of two songs from Doppelganger with intros by Terry. I would love to hear the intros again. I think the songs were Distance and Direction and New Car.

The Sons of the Pioneer's concert is phenomenal. It's such a glimpse into the early days of CCM. Worship songs led by the church. The mc is advertising that BJ Thomas has a new Christian album available in the church's bookstore. Wow! This is a beautiful time capsule.

I was so impressed with the sound quality of the demos. I loved the Daniel Amos first reissue with the early recordings and I guess in some ways I thought these recordings would be more raw. But I was blown away at the beauty of the sound. Great work!

Mall (All Over the World) was incredible. Dare I say haunting? Hindalong did a great job with Shedding the Mortal Coil too. Great show.

What are the three new songs/recordings on the "Intimate Evening" cd?

I attended the show last night in Dallas and there were no "Evening" cds on the table. Very sad. Will it be in the store soon?

I've posted elsewhere, so forgive the redundancy, but I'm a completist. I bought the original cd release of DFBB back in the day. And I bought the new release.

I wish there was a way to purchase the bonus material, either as a cd or a download, without repurchasing the original material. I can't resist the bounus material! It's like buying Star Wars over and over again.

I would like to purchase items like the NewPax Alarma radio special. At one time I had the 45 single of Memory Lane and Real Girls. Both songs had intros by Terry. A compilation of Terry's explanations of songs from radio specials and singles would be incredible.

I had the first one on LP back in the day. The second one I found in a pawn shop for a couple of bucks. I'm a completist, so some of the MegaMouth stuff would be fun to hear once and put away.

Honestly, if it was put out as "The Swirling Eddies present the Rap'sures" or "The Rap'sure of Dr. Edward Daniel Taylor" people could appreciate it for waht it was...a joke.

At first I was tempted. I'm a diehard DA fan so I have each of the individual Alarma Chronicles releases, but then once I looked at the text, the articles and the extra introductions by Terry for each album I thought no way am I selling this.

Actually spotted my blurry self on the Instructions Through Film DVD. I was at the C-stone concert that night and will never forget it. They played Elvis Costello "Pump it Up!"

I have found some gems along the way trolling through pawn shops and half-price bookstores. The same store has Songs of the Heart and John Wayne, but they're a little more common. Don't give up hope!

Rejoice with me! Found a DA bookset 03-03-2008 10:21 Forum: General Discussion

My friend was at a Half Price books in the Dallas area and texted me that they had a copy of the Alarma Chronicles book set from M8. I immediately asked him to buy it not even asking the price. So he brings it to me today with the receipt. Just under $20.00 including tax!!!

Rejoice with me!!!

F.Y.I. Someone is selling Fearful Symmetry for $19.00 Buy it Now on Ebay. I am NOT the seller. My tag is gowensby (I have a CD up, but not this one.) I know this is one of the rare ones. I bought my copy new when it was first released, but I know how many are looking for this one.

Whoa Nelly---let me clarify---I AM NOT THAT GUY!!! As soon as I saw that the guy was from Dallas I braced myself for what was coming. I'm a transplant to Dallas from Philadelphia--so I can disassociate myself from his insanity.

I had the coolest mom who back in the early 80's took me to a Christian bookstore and as a 7th grader let me pick out some LP's. I picked-up Ping Pong, Horrendous Disc, Alarma, and I Want to be a Clone. I was hooked on good Christian music.

I've been able to see Terry/Lost Dogs in Dallas a couple of times and shared with him how much of an impact K&I made on my life as a young man and then especially with the passing of my mother.

Also...I was one of the winners in the Guess the Eddies contest back in 1989! Not the grand prize, but I did get a good collection of CD's! I still have the band photo autographed by Camarillo.

peace

Crazy Fan Letter 03-25-2006 16:38 Forum: General Discussion

Years ago I downloaded "Crazy Fan Letter" from the Daniel Amos section of MP3.com. I think that was the title. Basically it was Terry reading a fan letter with music playing beneath the reading. Would anyone happen to have that or know where I could download it? Any guidance would be appreciated.
