Some of my early memories of buying an album are still importat to me, I miss that feeling quite a bit actually. Going to a music store and picking something out, getting home and cracking the celophane. They even had that inky plasticy smell, putting the record on and looking over the artwork and reading who played what and all that. It was an experience. I remeber buying certain albums to this day, I have downloaded a few mp3's over the years and the experience doesn't stick with me in the same way. In fact, things that I have downloaded, I may not even have listened to it right away. They went in a folder, so I know I have them. (They were usually a download exclusive or something of that nature.)

Yup. I love that feeling of buying an album. Pleased

Hear hear!

I love MBD.
I love every thing about it.

To me all the weird noises, and whatever else, [I fits.[/I]

I cannot name 5 least favorite anything.
The album is one piece that sort of builds on itself.

Kinda like some of Wilco's records, or Blonde on Blonde, or the White Album.

If you don't "get it" I can't help you.

I love the Telethon.

I remember listening to the whole CD as a group of 4 of us drove up to a mens retreat on the Kern river, well actually on the land beside the Kern river.

The 4 of us had grown up in church together and gone thru High School together but we were as different as different could be.

I of course was the only DA fan and they thought I was nuts when we started playing the Telethon but by the time we got to the song Sprinklerhead they were laughing their heads off.

Hide the Beer the Pastors here was especially poignant as the other 3 all had gone to are were going to Biola.

DEAN

Great story. The Telethon is much more enjoyable when there are others to laugh along with the zaniness and a car ride sounds like the perfect venue for such a captive audience! Pleased

Does the new "Miracle Faith Telethon of Love" have the same artwork as the original or new artwork?

I have to admit that I am pretty excited about this one! Cool

Mr Mousebender: And I thought to myself, "A little fermented curd will do the trick," so, I curtailed my Walpoling activities, sallied forth, and infiltrated your place of purveyance to negotiate the vending of some cheesy comestibles.

Henry Wenslydale: Come again?

Mr Mousebender: I want to buy some cheese.

Henry Wenslydale: Oh, I thought you were complaining about the bouzouki player.

Mr Mousebender: Certainly not. I am one who delights in all manifestations of the Terpsichorean muse.

Henry Wenslydale: Sorry?

Mr Mousebender: [in a silly Northern accent] Ooh, I like a nice dance - you're forced to.
