Well, that was a shock! After all these years, CHANGE! I'm not sure I'm up to this.

Seriously, looks like y'all put a lot of work into this. Looks good, guys!

I'm going to have to listen for that now. If you recall which song, let us know.

Marty Dieckmeyer
Terry Scott Taylor
Ed McTaggart
Jerry Chamberlain
Alex McDougall

I may have Mark and Alex swapped.

Marty is on the left, then Mark, etc.as you list them.

Thanks! I knew I always got two of them mixed up; I just forgot which two. Big Grin

My copy arrived today. I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet, but it's in one piece anyway. I can't remember what this code might be for; I guess I should check what I actually pledged for.

I would say I tried, but couldn't spell it; but the real answer is no, I haven't. Is it about home studios?

I was interested to see the video of Terry recording vocals for the new album. It looked like there's not a lot of prep required for the physical space to do that. I suppose it would be different for something like drums, which would require acoustical traps and such. Confused

I am listening to my 5,936 songs on shuffle on GooglePlay and "Incredible Shrinking Man" came up. I'm not sure I've really listened to it on headphones/earbuds before, but I never noticed the extreme stereo-separation. It almost sounds like Terry recorded the vocals twice, once for each ear. There's certainly a lot of stereo panning, and certain instrumental parts are one one side or the other. It's always nice to still be discovering things all these years after I bought that old cassette.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear that, Audiori J. As the others said, your work on HD is very much appreciated. Honestly, getting a copy of Horrendous Disc was a dream come true for me. I'd been wanting a copy since I heard it that one time in 1987. Getting all the extras almost made me feel like I had discovered the band before I actually did in 1983. But I totally get that it was a ton of work and a good bit of frustration for you guys. Which is all to say, thank you.

I'm not on Facebook much either, just Messenger on my phone to communicate with my Mom in Alabama and my sister in Thailand. That's why I check here every day hoping someone has said something.

We really, really need to do something to get some of those
really old songs out.

Has there been any progress on this?

I do see disc one as a series of illustrations leading to a unified, if not easily summarized, point. The only song from disc 2 I could see moving to disc 1 would be "Pregnant Pause." But it's maybe a bit oblique even for that.

I think having "Joel" after then end of Mr. Buechner's Dream is brilliant placement, an invitation for all to dream dreams.

In my defense, the pictures didn't load at work.

I'm glad you confirmed it's a female torsoquin. I thought there was quite a bow on that steamer.

The following were not DA, SE, TST or LD recordings; but they were songs penned and recorded by DA/TST and also recorded separately by these female artists.

"Father's Arms" from The Boones (Debby and her sisters) album "First Class"

"Only One" from Wild Blue Yonder's (Crystal Lewis) album "Wild Blue Yonder"

In addition, there are these at-least-in-part TST penned songs recorded by females:

Several on "Surfonic Water Revival" - Plumb is the best ("I'll be your surfer girl...")

Several by Riki Michelle
Far, Far
Ghost in the Rain
In The Calling
Light of the World
Love Life and Dance

Some of Terry's kids albums probably have some female/girl vocals. Cool

I'm sure I am missing some.

I just want to say that this is a very random post for someone to register to make and then never come back. Confused

I was so pleased to get the bonus disc with the DA reissue because I had it on a (probably 3rd of 4th generation) cassette--my only quasi-rare DA artifact. When I was in Bakersfield for summer 1987, I stayed for a week with a guy who knew the band back in the day. He found out I was a fan and made me a copy of his cassette. He liked the band with their music made sense (pre-Alarma!) Big Grin

Whereas for me, MP3s on cheap earbuds sound better than the cassettes I lovingly collected in the '80s.
