I love the beatlesque feel.
play the first 4 bars of Whats come over me
and pause it-
then sing-

I should have known better with a girl like you
That I would love everything that you do
And I do, hey hey hey, and I do ..

Compare the guitarwork in Wise Acres to
The End.. wowsa!

Compare the end of Grace is the smell of Rain
to Shes so Heavy..
double wowsa..
(its also nearly the same refrain as Guilty..talk about loops?)

Our old uncle wants to be free (and ride away on a motorcycle)
yet its the only recording with songs directly to his Children..
I love it ..perhaps the best of all DA?
well- DAMb close!- its at LEAST in the top 40......

Jiminy,
I noticed that in "What's Come Over Me," one of the first things that struck me about the album. I hadn't noticed the other direct musical ties, though. I'll have to see if I can dig up a copy of Abbey Road...

They probably are direct.

Once when I had the good fortune to talk with Uncle Terry, I was asking him about musical influences and mentioned that I heard a lot of Beatles influences in his music, especially on Motorcycle. He commented that "Abbey Road" was the blueprint for that album.

I would say that it feels much like Abbey Road- especially the whole "montage" interconnection of tunes.

Plus its real cool to look at the cover when your trippin-

Oops - I said that out loud!
