Dale,
Sorry...I tried to double check everything to make sure that you have all the info, and totally overlooked the DATE!
I have edited the orignial post to show September 25, 2003.
The Car Cruise is an added feature to our event. I have a little web site, known as The StreetRodder Network, and I am asking several of my fairly local contacts (including the local car clubs) to bring out their old cars and have a "cruise in" in the parking lot. I am wanting to bring out some of my unsaved car buddies and show them that we have fun at our church. My hope is that we can get some street rods, street machines, customs, Harleys, whatever...and that thru it all, folks are brought to Jesus.
I think Branson is calling your name!

The title of this thread accidentally gave me an idea.
How would you like to come aboard "The Rapture", a research vessel, headed toward Santa Catalina for an overnight in the bay at Two Harbors.
On board entertainment provided by none other than Terry Taylor, Mike Roe, Derri Daugherty, Mike Knott, Eve Selis, Randy Stonehill, Riki Michelle, Theo and Don Knotts.
We could even take that ship from the Columbia and follow Lewis and Clark back to the Missouri and land at the Mississippi, picking up DAmbers as we go.
Who's man enough to cross the country on a musical journey that only the most dedicated sailors and adventurers could survive?

Actually, I am looking for more of something like this, over at my CyberCruizIn.com site, with a concert and BBQ.
I initially posted that it is a BYO BBQ, however, it is looking as if our church's youth group will be doing the grillin', in hopes to raise money for their missions trip.

Shouldn't it be a "Motor Cycle" Cruise?
Sorry. I need that little filter in my head that tells me when not to hit the "Add Reply" button...

For all you out of towners that may be interested in popping into Springfield, MO, for our BBQ, I have been working with one of the former Residence Inn locations, for a special rate. I didn't get a final quote from them yet, but the rate should be fairly affordable!
If anyone is interested, shoot me an e-mail, and I will get a firm quote for you.

Just got a phone call from our Springfield newspaper and they are gonna run our BBQ info in their "September Happenings" issue this Friday! I hope folks read the paper and it draws a crowd.
If I haven't asked for it yet, please hold our BBQ in prayer. I would like to see God do some neat things in our community thru this event.
Thanks!
