Well, i am finally fulfilling my dream of playing at my high school talent show...ten years later. My younger brother is attending the same high school as me and entered the talent show. He asked if I would play guitar while he sang, but didn't know what to play. Well, he wanted to do something by LD or TST, but they were all too hard for me and I had to find something that I could play. Thanks to this board (carl specifically, i believe) i got onto B-Plus Chords and found the music for She's A Hard Drink.
Yes, we are playing She's a Hard Drink in a high school talent show. I am so excited. The performance is tonight and we do a pretty good version of it (i think). As we were practicing we both noticed that the parts where the solo was it sounded kind of bare. I thought about it for a minute and using my super arrangement skills i called on an old friend to help...Mr. Kazoo! Oh, the kazoo sounds good in any situation.
So, please wish us well and if you happen to be in the Lexington KY area at 7:00 and want to stop by, fell free to rock to our acoustic jamming.
PS--we will do a proper recording of it and I will post it on my rock-and-roll website. Love and Kisses!

it went really well. my poor lil bro was SO nervous, but that was his first public performance. everyone loved the kazoo bit, caught them by surprise. it was filmed and will be on the Public School station this Friday, so i'll be taping it. Unfotuately i don't know how to post the video on the web, but i'll look into doing that. He and I are going to do a recording of it and i'll post that on my website and put a link here.
I thought it would be weird playing at this thing but i guess deep down inside i'm an insecure high school student.
I also got a medal for playing.

Excellantee!
Talk to BD- hes the Video King!
to further my adventure- I DID play in Vocational school..and won first place.100 bucks! that was pretty cool for a "dingo" like me. (It was in 1975..I twere a boy)
I did "Darlin be home soon" (not quite the LS version) and another tune called "Theres only One" by Graham Nash.
They even wanted an encore- so I did Soldiers by J.Taylor (It was just post vietnam time ..so a fitting thing then.)
