I'm one of those who (as the joke goes) would buy anything Terry touches, from singing in the shower to fart sounds.

As far as the peorders, I was one of the very, very, very first to get mine in. Why get all hot and bothered, or question anyone's integrity? It has happened. This is an awesome time. I'm dying to getting my hands on this thing. The last time I've been this excited was waiting for my Beuchners signed copy. Yes, to me it even trumps the Dogs.

Life is good. After 30 years, my favorite artist is still making music. J&E and any band member reading this... thank you, thank you, thank you for caring enough.

Peace. Relax. Enjoy the gift.

Well put. I'd be in that percentage too. I love anything I can get. I am an old schooler and I remember when it was hard to get anything by DA or the Swirling Eddies.

i'm a young buck. the eddies were old news before i ever heard of them, and DA was already a legend to the world.

i've never had a hard time finding releases, even when there was no internet, since i had cool christian bookstores near me.

that said... i like the new record a lot.

Thanks for the kind words John.

Jason and I were always in that percentage too. Back in the 80s for example, it was hard to find anything. CCM Magazine was pretty much the only thing we had for DA related news! We subscribed just for the occasional mention of the few artists we cared about that they covered. In some cases, we wouldn't even hear about a new album until we saw it in the bookstore. We didn't hear about tours until they were over most of the time. For some albums, we had to have the store special order it. (And of course, they could never find it in their system). It was pretty frustrating.

I'm in the small percentage NOW. I hadn't been, but I decided to give my only DA album, Bibleland, another try after the Lost Dogs concert last year in Voorhees, NJ. I "got" it, unlike when I bought it in 1994. Last year, I picked up the Berry Vest of the Swirling Eddies. I got DA's debut at this year's concert and I like that -- along with TST's Avocado Faultline, Glimpses of Grace, and John Wayne.

After speaking with Terry at this year's concert (whom I only spoke to briefly last year), I was touched by his caring as we talked. I wasn't here when whatever went down occurred, but I pray for healing and for the love of Christ to prevail (1 Corinthians 13).

Your brother in Christ,
Michael

I have the CD of Terry's fart sounds, in fact I got it three times. (Neverhood, imaginariums two releases) And I listen to it often.

I'm happy for the guys to be still bringing music out, I'm glad to have the board. (Try being one of two known DA fans in your whole country - eh Wayne?).

I first heard DA in 1990 and without the internet imagine how difficult it was getting anything thing - let alone information about them then in New Zealand.

Anyway the result of those those incoherent thoughts above is that I pray God blesses, Terry, Tim, Greg, Ed, the Eddies and the Lost Dogs, and Jason and Eric.

You got it, Andrew! I'm of the age where you COULD get Daniel Amos stuff in your bookstore....but I did a lot of catching up through Radrockers etc as well. (Paid big $$ for Darn Floor CD. I bought it on cassette when it first came outSmile

There was a place in Auckland called Essential Sounds that got a lot of great stuff in. I'm one of 2 people I know who have "Surely Goodness..."and "No Sense..." plus quite a bit of other stuff. Regular Christian distributor would bring stuff in....but get 6 copies for the WHOLE country for groupd like DA. (seriously, I kid you not!)

I did meet another rabid Daniel Amos fan "up North" a decade or so again, but the good Captain and I are (I think) the only ones from NZ who frequent this Board.

I await my copy to arrive in due course (along with other stuff from the Store to make postage worthwhile). Bring it on!

Side note: We have a national Christian radio station in NZ. Many years ago I was in the studio after hours and got to see their (then) record selection. Amazingly there was quite a selection of Daniel Amos stuff there (and other interesting bands) but the sleeves were annotated with guidelines as to which tracks (if any) could be played, and why!

Has anything changed?
