What is the time signature in Rice Paper Wings?

I'm no musician, but I like to pretend I am. I could not count along with this song tonight. It seems like there are extra beats stuck in every once in a while.

So, all you music geeks... what is it???? Confused

I learned how to keep the beat when I was little and took tap and jazz classes. My son has already figured out how to keep the beat better than his sister 3 years his senior. Big Grin

not knowing much either - I would say this:
The intro is 3/4 time (lke a waltz just count I-2 3 , 1, 2, 3


It then switches to 4/4 time
Count 1..2..3..4
with one sychopation (sp) (that acustic guitar that clearly plays three times near the end)
then back to 3/4 for the end ..

another great example of this is found in BEING for the benefit of Mr Kite..

It starts in 4/4 - does a 3/4 waltz beat in the middle- then goes back to 4/4.
thats my HO...

I hate to say that was Paul's influence..
but that was Paul's influence.

though I DONT think you'll see that on the SUPERBOWL HALFTIME SHOW tommorow- the only reason to watch an otherwise yawner of a game..though some may think between halfs may be worst of all

i don't know about that. john was the one changing time signatures all the time.


listen to "good morning, good morning". he goes from a 3/4 to a 2/4 and back to a 4/4 (or something like that).....on the verse. Pleased
