In case anyones been a wonderin'.... My computer was fried last week in a storm , so until I get the insurance check to get my new one , I hooked up my vintage Pentium II. Technology sort of glows with warmth when you get dependent on it. Our friends in New Orleans recently lost everything due to a computer crash ~ all their financial information (fortunately they had backed it all up to a month before the crash), all e-mail addresses, all snail mail addresses and phone numbers (including ours), etc. She had to call information and then had some glitch due to the name of the city we live in and they finally gave her a number and she tried it hoping it was the right one.
