I rather like Ecclesiastes, too.

Especially this line:

Ecclesiastes 9
9 Enjoy life with your wife, whom you love, all the days of this meaningless life that God has given you under the sun- all your meaningless days. For this is your lot in life and in your toilsome labor under the sun.

I used to sign stuff with Eccl 7:3 at the bottom ( I hope it wasn't verse 2Smile ) at Bible college and places.
"sorrow is better than laughter and a sad face is good for the heart"
I'm sure people felt sorry for me, but it was all good (and another pathetic attempt at humour on my part), it was just the music I was listening to! (Of course, stolen from Chase the Kangaroo)

Here ya go Bax:

Song of Songs, chapter 4, verse 1:

"How beautiful art thou, my love, how beautiful art thou! Thy eyes are doves' eyes, besides what is hid within. Thy hair is as flocks of goats, which come up from Mount Galaad."

Bust that rhyme to the little lady; and she'll melt like butter all over ya. Wink

My favorite would be Colossians, in which Paul extols the pre-eminence of Christ in all things.

My favorite passage is Revelation 21-22; "Soon" is one of my favorite songs. I tried memorizing the chapters, but I became stuck at the list of precious stone in the foundation of the New Jerusalem. I should probably skip ahead & come back to that later.

I actually like Leviticus quite a lot. I read a short monograph by Henry A. Ironside about the nature of each type of sacrifice & the manner in which it was fulfilled by Christ. I don't remember it all & no long have the book because it bought it as a gift, but it opened my eyes to how much there is in that book.

I like the verse that "all things were made by God and for God." It confuses me at the same time, when I stop and think, does it really mean "all" things? I may start a thread on it sometime in The Argument Dump.
