- The Lost Dogs perform in Wentzville, MO at "TownsendLand." "A show brought to you by technical difficulties."
The Dogs were initially booked at a newly opened, very large coffeehouse in Winghaven, MO called the Coffee Beanery Cafe, which featured a very nice sound system and stage for musical acts. That coffeehouse just happened to close a few days before this show was to take place. The owner of the coffeehouse didn't inform the promoters or the band of the closure until a day before the show. Being July 4th weekend, all venues in the area were booked up or closed. Not wanting to cancel the show, an impromptu stage was quickly built out of lumber and the show itself was moved to a front lawn belonging to the parents of DA's webmasters. While the stage itself was very much "thrown together at the last second," the large yard became a unique setting for the show which took place under a canopy of trees.

Jeff: "Yeah, a little bit. Terry Taylor [Daniel Amos, Lost Dogs, Swirling Eddies] is going to produce the new album. He's more of a vocal kind of guy you know. So we're kind of hoping he'll do some weird kind of stuff laying out the vocals. We're actually going to let him just change around some of the arrangements if he wants to."
UpusZine: Kind of like the old Daniel Amos stuff?
Jeff: Yeah. Basically, we're just trying to make the kind of record that we would like."
