- Jerry Davison, founding member of Jacob's Trouble, passes away.
Terry: "I am heartbroken to learn that my friend Jerry Davison has passed away. It also brings me comfort and joy, as I know it does his family and friends, to know he is now with the Lord he served so faithfully. I had the pleasure and the honor to work with Jerry and the band Jacob’s Trouble on their first two albums. It seems only yesterday that Jerry and I were in my parents living room collaborating on the song 'Knock, Breath, Shine.' A dedicated family man, Jerry was always a joy; guileless, funny, kind, empathetic, talented, and passionate in his love for, and service to, our Lord. What could be a more noble legacy? 'Well done thou good and faithful servant…enter thou into the joy of the Lord.'"

- Chuck Girard, founding member of love song, dies after a battle from cancer.
Terry: "Chuck Girard, a true hero of mine, has added his beautiful voice to God’s heavenly choir.
Love Song’s debut record, given to me by a friend, was the very first CCM music I had ever heard, and it blew me away. I not only discovered many of my musical influences contained in that record, what a thrill it was to hear such an amazingly talented band boldly giving expression to my own new found faith, and doing so at the highest level of musical integrity. Up to that point, being a former Northern California garage band “punk” performing songs like Gloria and Hang On Sloopy, who was now getting my feet wet writing original Jesus songs to add to my 'secular' repertoire, I was somewhat of a Bay Area musical anomaly. Or at least that’s what I thought. Was I the only one writing and singing rock and folk rock songs about Jesus? I thought so at the time. The question for me back then was 'What now? Where exactly does God want me to go with this?' Well, God used Chuck and Lovesong to answer these questions. Awareness of Norman, Stonehill, and a whole bunch of SoCal Jesus bands that were sharing the Gospel through song and changing the world, would come later. It was the Love Song album which opened up creative possibilities that I hadn’t previously known before, and it changed my life.
Fast forward to 1998 when I was writing, then arranging and producing the album Surfonic Water Revival for Frontline Records. I had the honor of working with Chuck in the studio for that record and I had written the song 'Endless Summer' specifically for him to sing; with that sweet vocal tonality and soaring, flawless falseto, he nailed it. It still gives me chills. During that session I was able to tell him how much he meant to me, and Chuck received this with grace, kindness, and humility. A sovereign God chose Chuck and Lovesong to change the trajectory of my musical life, and I will remain forever grateful for it. 'Well done, good and faithful servant….enter now into the joy of the Lord.'"
